Shaid’s Legacy GT-B
Shaid likes to do most of the work on his lightly modified 1997 Subaru Legacy GT-B himself. However, the car has been to Scooby Projects several times for routine maintenance, and again for suspension upgrades prior to a trip to the Nürburgring with the UKLegacy owners’ club in 2009.
Shaid’s Legacy came back to Scooby Projects for a big brake upgrade in 2010, and later in the year for more routine maintenance and new up-pipes ready for his 2010 trip to the Nürburgring. We also saw his car in 2011 for upgrades to his rear brakes.
Project Update — New engine
On 1st October 2011, Shaid’s original twin-turbo engine suffered bottom-end failure during an aggressive 20-minute session on the Nürburgring Grand-Prix Strecke. Shaid’s car is now with Scooby Projects and will soon be fitted with a newly built single-turbo engine based on the Subaru EJ20.
